Tina Oliva
Tina's personal practice began in 2000 and blossomed into a teaching career out of pure love of yoga. After a break to have her two beautiful children, she began the journey back to her roots. Inspired in particular by two Portland area instructors, she decided it was time to return the gift of yoga through teaching.
As one who is passionate about expanding her own knowledge in all aspects of life, she chose to deepen her practice and training. In early 2011, Tina completed her 200 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training with CorePower Yoga.
In her classes, Tina combines all elements of a well-rounded practice: Attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), open to grace (attitude), intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama), as well as Ayurveda, visualization, and meditation. Tina’s classes are designed to strengthen, tone and open every area of the body while offering clarity and focus to the student’s mind, body and spirit.
The capacity for yoga to help, heal and change is powerful. Having the ability to offer that to her students is inspirational. |
