2013 FALL TEACHER TRAINING CURRICULUM: SEPTEMBER 11 - NOVEMBER 17 |
||||||||||||
The journey into Yoga is sacred and a treasured memory for most yoga teachers and trained practitioners, and while the curriculum may deem daunting, take comfort in knowing that you will be supported by well-qualified, seasoned teachers, mentors, and directors who have a proven track record of bringing out the best in students. You will be challenged, encouraged, motivated, empowered and taken out of your comfort zone. There will be changes in you along the way and we guarantee it. This change will be in your understanding of yourself, your strengths, weaknesses, belief systems, confidence, and ability to stand up in front of a roomful of students and be filled with confidence and humility, knowledge and ignorance at the same time. You will gain a depth in the understanding of why this profound experience called “yoga” has stood the test of time and will continue to do so. More importantly, your world will open to how much there is still to know, because learning yoga in 300-hours is similar to holding the water of all oceans in a bucket. But it is still significantly more than what our 200-hour program could previously offer! Life will be there along with all its responsibilities and commitments tomorrow and for decades to come. If we were to pass on one advice, it is: Now is the time. Now is the time to do something different that can, and most likely will, transform your life; ask any yoga teacher! Welcome to the journey and we sincerely look forward to any questions you may have about the program. - HYFL Teacher Training Directors and Staff

| "Yoga found me in January of 2012 through Hot Yoga for Life. After experiencing how transformational this practice could be I decided I wanted to learn more about this thing called yoga. The teacher training at HYFL not only brought me to a deeper level in my personal practice, but also showed me how much I could enjoy leading others through this common journey. I am now a teacher at HYFL and loving every moment of it! The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, with a splash of kick-your-butt enthusiasm to keep you on your toes. Expect to practice hard, learn a ton, and create lasting friendships within this wonderful yoga community." - Ashley P, Fall 2012 Graduate. "The personal growth I experienced through the HYFL teacher training was tremendous. I learned so much about yoga and how truly vast it is. The knowledge I gained in teacher training helped me to find a new depth to my practice and now I have the tools to share it with others! ." - Carly R, Fall 2012 Graduate. "Hot Yoga for Life's teacher training program inspires growth in both hot yoga and in life. During the six weeks I realized my strengths, challenged my weaknesses, and learned how to practice from my core both as a teacher and as myself. The anatomy course with Ellen Heed is a sanctified introduction to the subtle inner workings of the body and how to apply our awareness of it in daily yoga practice. This program as a whole has opened up a whole new world for me both internally and externally that I cannot wait to explore further." - Sacha B, Fall 2011 Graduate. I thought TT was seriously challenging but really well-staffed with lots of supportive, knowledgeable, great people. The program set high standards for itself and students, and it worked. Like yoga for me, it involved lots of effort, some trepidation doing new things--sometimes badly--but getting better through practice. Very excellent." - Bob F, Fall 2011 Graduate.
